Team Rubicon Global's story
In January 2010, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti. Initial reports of the devastation compelled a group of military veterans to assemble a team and deploy to Port-au-Prince to support emerging relief efforts.
In Haiti, it became clear that military veterans are uniquely prepared to provide immediate emergency response aid, oftentimes in the early hours of a disaster before larger relief organizations can get on the ground.
TEAM RUBICON WAS BORN OUT OF THIS MISSION
TEAM RUBICON HAS IGNITED A MOVEMENT
Team Rubicon recruits, trains, equips, organizes and deploys veterans to aid in disaster response operations around the world. This is our way of bridging the gap between returning veterans and their home communities. We demonstrate - to society and individual veterans alike - that veterans are powerful resources with skills to be harnessed.

The Story of Team Rubicon Norge
On October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast of the United States causing destruction in parts of New Jersey and New York. Team Rubicon USA had already been preparing for a response before the storm hit. Two days after the storm, Team Rubicon had begun assessing the damage and providing assistance. Among those deployed were six veterans from Norway who served in Afghanistan. When Sandy crashed into the East Coast, the Norwegians were quick to volunteer to come along.
Since then, the Norwegians have supported Team Rubicon USA in multiple operations and have had many members deploy across the United States. In 2017, Team Rubicon Norge officially started the certification process. Since that date, the Norwegians have shown their passion for Team Rubicon and officially became licensed when they held their first board meeting on January 10, 2018.
